⚠️ Important Notice to All Students

By enrolling at Mr. Yang Driving School, you are entering into a legal agreement that outlines your responsibilities as a student and our obligations as a licensed driving school. These policies are strictly enforced to ensure fairness, safety, and full compliance with New York State DMV regulations. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in service refusal, forfeited payments, or removal from the program.

At Mr. Yang Driving School, we are committed to providing quality driver education and maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment. All enrolled students must adhere to the following policies, which align with New York State DMV requirements, including Part 76.8 of the Commissioner’s Regulations.

1. General Policies

✅ By enrolling in our services, students agree to follow all policies set forth by Mr. Yang Driving School.
✅ Our goal is to deliver a supportive learning experience that fosters safe, confident drivers.

2. Lesson Scheduling & Attendance

✅ All driving lessons must be booked in advance via phone, in person, or on our official website.
✅ Students must arrive on time and bring a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license to every lesson.
✅ If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson may be shortened or canceled without refund.
✅ Repeated lateness may result in service refusal.

3. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy

✅ We require 24 hours (or one business day) notice for all cancellations and rescheduling.
✅ Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled lesson will incur a $30 late cancellation fee or may be fully charged.
✅ No-shows without notice will result in 100% forfeiture of the lesson fee.
✅ Emergency cancellations (e.g., medical events or extreme weather) may be reviewed case-by-case at management’s discretion.

4. Payment & DMV-Compliant Refund Policy

✅ All services must be paid in full at the time of booking unless a written agreement is in place.
✅ Refunds are only issued for cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the first scheduled lesson.
✅ If a student cancels a prepaid package or service, a refund may be granted for unused services minus: An enrollment fee of $10 or 10% of the total cost (whichever is greater) — in accordance with DMV Regulation Part 76.8.
✅ Refunds for partially completed packages are calculated based on standard per-lesson pricing, not discounted or promotional rates.
✅ No refunds are issued for missed lessons, late cancellations, or expired packages.
✅ Prepaid services are non-transferable and must be used within the validity period stated at purchase.
✅ Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method or by check if paid in cash.

5. Road Test Appointments

✅ Students must provide at least 7 days’ notice to reschedule a road test appointment.
✅ If a student is late or missing required DMV documents, the test may be canceled without refund.
✅ Use of a school vehicle for the road test must be pre-arranged and prepaid.
✅ Warm-up lessons before the test must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

6. Student Conduct & Safety Expectations

✅ Students must follow all instructor instructions during lessons.
✅ Any reckless, unsafe, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will result in the immediate cancellation of the lesson without refund.
✅ No alcohol, drugs, or signs of impairment are permitted before or during lessons. Suspected impairment will result in cancellation.
✅ Proper footwear is required: No flip-flops, high heels, or bare feet allowed during driving sessions.

7. Vehicle Use & Liability

✅ Mr. Yang Driving School provides insured, DMV-compliant, and regularly maintained vehicles for instruction.
✅ Students using a personal vehicle must submit proof of insurance and registration before the lesson.
✅ The school and its instructors are not liable for damages or incidents resulting from a student’s negligent driving or unsafe behavior.

8. Privacy & Confidentiality

✅ All student records are kept confidential and used solely for training and documentation purposes.
✅ Photos or videos taken for educational or promotional use will only be recorded with prior written consent from the student.

9. Inclement Weather Policy

✅ Lessons may be canceled or rescheduled due to extreme weather (e.g., snowstorms, flooding, hurricanes) at no extra cost to the student.
✅ Students will be notified as early as possible in such cases.
✅ Instructors also reserve the right to reschedule a lesson if road conditions are unsafe.

By signing up for any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined above. These policies are in place to protect both the student and the school, and to ensure a smooth, professional learning experience for everyone. Mr. Yang Driving School reserves the right to modify these policies at any time in accordance with state law and operational needs.
